I mean what I say...my sincerest wish for Stephanie Says Jewelry is for folks to feel they're speaking to the rest of the world, hopefully a little more able to express who they authentically are, just possibly a bit better, by choosing to wear my jewelry. Speak up. Be yourself. Let the world know who you are!

​​I can't remember a time when I wasn't involved in some form of visual arts. As a child i was always drawing and painting, playing with clay, folding paper into mini shapes, looking for and collecting found objects such as shells, broken toy parts, whatever, to make something into another thing (now I know as art!) to show or give to someone else -- a part of myself, separate from myself. I guess I naturally identified as an artist in my single digit years.

Flash forward to: What-Will-I-Do-And-Be-In-This-Life? I gravitated eventually to sculpture in my college art school years, School of Visual Arts, took a jewelry design and making course, and BAM! I knew what I loved doing most!

Next landmark moment, graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Jewelry Design, freelance gigs with Tiffany & Co., Black, Starr & Frost, along with other great resume listings, and then probably landed in what I considered for a long time, the most rewarding and creative job of my jewelry design career, as an in-house jewelry designer for Bulgari.

Now, I absolutely love being a designer and jewelry maker on my own (of course, always welcome is feedback and an occasional hand from family and friends). But I'm pretty much a one-woman-show. And my intention and goal is to keep Stephanie Says Jewelry as intimate and close to the bone as possible, for me and for my customers, as we move into the future.
